Precision is a measure of reproducibility of measurements. Most repeated value
or most reproduced value is called as precise value.
Precision never confirms accuracy.
If the measuring
instrument shows the same reading for multiple times of measurement without any change in the applied quantity it is called precise instrument. Whereas, if the instrument shows different values for each measurement then it is not a precise instrument.
